DESCRIPTION:Date and Location\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFlatbush YMCA1401 Flatbush Avenue\, Brooklyn 11210 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are thrilled to announce that Brooklyn Community Board 14’s 17th Annual Youth Conference will take place on Wednesday\, March 6\, 2024\, from 4:00-7:00 PM. It will be held at the Flatbush YMCA\, this year’s community partner\, located at 1401 Flatbush Avenue between Farragut Ave and Foster Ave. \n\n\n\nRegistration for students\, job and service providers\, and event volunteers will open in February. \n\n\n\nThe conference is an excellent opportunity for young people ages 14-21 to make valuable connections for the summer and beyond. Every year\, approximately 50 New York City agencies\, businesses and community organizations provide Youth Conference attendees with information about jobs\, internships\, career readiness\, after-school programs\, college admissions and more! Young people can also access health\, legal\, immigration and other support services. \n\n\n\nThis year’s Youth Conference is held in celebration of the life of Duane Joseph\, who was dedicated to this event and to uplifting our community’s youth every day. Special thanks to Council Member Rita Joseph for council funding in support of CB14’s 17th Annual Youth Conference and to COPO for facilitating the Duane Joseph Memorial Fund. \n\n\n\n\nLEARN MORE
