NYC Department of Buildings will provide free, in-person one-on-one assistance for owners of one- to four-family properties on Sunday, October 18 at the BPJCC Community Center.

Property owners can meet individually with DOB staff about property violations, outstanding job applications, permit requests, small business inquiries, and Building Code compliance. Same-day processing will be available for eligible matters.

Services include:

  • Review of Stop Work Orders and eligible requests for lifting
  • Inspection requests for Full or Partial Vacate Orders
  • Certificate of Correction filing and review
  • Fee estimates
  • Payment options for civil penalties, work without a permit, and other DOB-related violations
  • Meetings with senior DOB staff on Building Code compliance
