NYC Charter Revision Commission Announces Citywide Series of Public Input Sessions

On May 21st, 2024 Mayor Adams announced the formation of a Commission to review the entire city charter. This invitation is for all to attend and share any public testimony they wish to submit.

The New York City Charter provides the structure of City government and key powers of City elected officials and agencies. The Charter Review Commission (CRC) is empowered to review the entire Charter.

The public is invited to testify about any matter of importance to City government, to suggest changes to the Charter, and share feedback on the Commission’s Preliminary Report.
