Dive into the art of journalistic storytelling through sound in Sound Lab: Podcasting! Over twelve weeks, students will explore audio recording software, craft immersive soundscapes, create foley effects, and bring narratives to life using only sound. Perfect for aspiring podcasters and audio enthusiasts!

Free English Classes for Immigrant New Yorkers!

The NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs offers free beginner and intermediate English classes at over 60 centers across the five boroughs. Classes are open to all immigrant New Yorkers, regardless of immigration status or existing English ability. Brooklyn DA’s 2025 Internships for High School Students

The Brooklyn DA’s Office is offering a paid internship for high school juniors and seniors, with a weekly stipend of $150 (pro-rated if needed). Applicants must attend high school in Brooklyn and provide a one-page résumé, the latest transcript, working papers, and a personal essay. The application deadline is January 17, 2025. The winter session runs from February 18 to February 21, and the spring session from April 18 to April 18. More details, including full requirements, are available on the DA’s Office website.
