Free NCLEX-RN Prep for Internationally Trained Nurses

Internationally trained nurses can improve their English skills and prepare for U.S. licensure through a no-cost NCLEX-RN Preparation Course for English Language Learners. This program supports nurses in strengthening their English, understanding the U.S. healthcare system, and preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam to become licensed in New York State.
Eligibility: Open to NYC residents authorized to work in the U.S. with a nursing degree from outside the U.S., high-intermediate English proficiency, and an annual income of $40,000 or less if employed. Applicants must also have submitted a nurse license verification application, access to a computer and internet, and be COVID-19 vaccinated (unless exempt)

Mentor Training Program – Paid Opportunity

A 16-week paid training program for young women ages 14–24 to mentor girls in Brooklyn. Participants receive $2,000 while gaining trauma-informed coaching, life-skills training, community resources, and networking opportunities. Woodland Youth Crew 2025: Paid Green Career Experience

Gain hands-on experience in forest restoration while earning $16.50/hour in Prospect Park, home to Brooklyn’s last remaining forest. Youth Crew members work on trail maintenance, plant native species, remove invasive plants, and help sustain the park’s woodlands. The program runs from April to October with spring and fall sessions on Saturdays and a full-time summer session. Open to youth seeking professional experience in green careers.
