NYC Health Department is hosting an important presentation on heat emergency and preparedness. This educational presentation will share information about heat vulnerability on both individual and population levels, symptoms of heat illness to look out for, and strategies to protect yourself and your loved ones during the summer months. The session also highlights cooling resources at the city and state level to help make cooling infrastructure more accessible. Attendees will leave the session prepared to make an action plan to keep themselves safe during a heat wave and will know what to look out for to help those around them also stay safe.
