National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week: October 18 to 25

Webinar for homeowners, landlords, tenants, day laborers, and community residents.

This year’s theme, “Healthy Communities Start with Lead-Safe Homes,” reminds us of the importance of ensuring safe living spaces for children and highlights our shared commitment to preventing lead poisoning.

Lead is a harmful metal that can cause serious health problems in children and adults. Lead can be found in old paint and the dust that it turns into. Lead can also be found in some consumer products.

Join NYC Health Department, NYC Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for this virtual event.

For questions about the event or more information about lead poisoning prevention, call 646-632-6023.
