Molière in the Park: Don Juan – Winter Reading Series
Free Admission | Reservations Recommended
Molière in the Park continues its Winter Reading Series with a free public presentation of Don Juan, translated and adapted by Stephen Wadsworth and directed by Founding Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien. Following a packed event at Prospect Park’s Picnic House, this second reading features an acclaimed ensemble: Keshav Moodliar, Kalyné Coleman, Annie McNamara, and Daniel Pearce, with live musical underscoring by cellist/composer Johnathan Moore.
A bold, unflinching exploration of desire, morality, and societal hypocrisy, Don Juan remains one of Molière’s most provocative works—nearly 400 years after its censored debut. Wadsworth’s reconstruction restores the play’s original fire, offering audiences a rare chance to encounter its humor, irreverence, and contemporary resonance up close.
Presented by: Molière in the Park, in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance and Brooklyn Public Library.
