The NYC Commission on Human Rights is conducting a survey to explore New Yorkers’ experiences and perceptions of discrimination in everyday life. The “Understanding New Yorkers’ Experiences with Discrimination” survey, available in 10 languages, will be instrumental in addressing discrimination in NYC and could make a significant difference in our community.
This comprehensive citywide survey explores New Yorkers’ experiences and perceptions of discrimination in their daily lives. The survey covers several key themes around the perceptions of where and why discrimination occurs, contributors to discrimination, willingness to report discrimination and familiarity with the Commission. All responses will inform the Commission’s impact, outreach efforts, and collaborations with other local government agencies.
This survey is part of the Commission’s TogetherNYC campaign, which encourages all New Yorkers to take actions to reduce and prevent discrimination.
The survey will close on September 30, 2024. More information at nyc.gov/togethernyc. If you have any questions, please review the Survey FAQs or email Cataydra Brown at catbrown@cchr.nyc.gov.
