Schedule a free and confidential in-person appointment in Manhattan for assistance to apply for: Temporary Protected Status (TPS) • Employment Authorization Document (EAD). This service is available to new migrants who arrived on or after July 1, 2022, and reside in New York City. To make an appointment: call 646-375-9500 (available in English, Spanish, French, Haitian Creole) or fill out the form linked below.

Internationally trained nurse? Improve your English skills and become a licensed nurse in New York. The National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) Preparation Course for English Language Learners is offered at no-cost for internationally trained nurses. This program can help you: improve your English language skills, learn about nursing in the US healthcare system, prepare for the NCLEX-RN exam to become re-licensed in NY State. Eligibility requirements: be an english language learner, have high-intermediate level of spoken english, have a nursing degree from a country other than the US, be a NYC resident and legally authorized to work in the US, submit nurse license verification application to CGFNS International and NYS Education Department, make no more than 40k annually if employed, have reliable internet and working computer to use during the training program, be vaccinated against covid 19 except for those with an approved reasonable accommodation

Internationally trained nurses can improve their English skills and prepare for U.S. licensure through a no-cost NCLEX-RN Preparation Course for English Language Learners. This program supports nurses in strengthening their English, understanding the U.S. healthcare system, and preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam to become licensed in New York State. Eligibility: Open to NYC residents authorized to work in the U.S. with a nursing degree from outside the U.S., high-intermediate English proficiency, and an annual income of $40,000 or less if employed. Applicants must also have submitted a nurse license verification application, access to a computer and internet, and be COVID-19 vaccinated (unless exempt)
