The Family Youth and Peer Support (FYPS) Program is a free resource for Brooklyn youth and families facing social, emotional, developmental, substance use, or behavioral challenges. Operated by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, FYPS offers peer-led support to youth ages 8–24 and their caregivers, with no insurance required. Services focus on empowerment, connection to care, and overcoming barriers. Youth involved with mental health services, ACS, housing or immigration systems, juvenile justice, DOE, or OPWDD may qualify. Those facing physical, economic, or social challenges are also encouraged to connect.
