Brooklyn NY Connects provides information and assistance on long-term services and supports for people of all ages, individuals with any disability, caregivers, family members, veterans, and helping professionals. Services include personal care, education and counseling, health and wellness, behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disability supports, and other social services. Walk-ins and appointments are available Monday–Thursday, 9 AM–5 PM, and appointments only on Fridays.

The Family Youth and Peer Support (FYPS) Program is a free resource for Brooklyn youth and families facing social, emotional, developmental, substance use, or behavioral challenges. Operated by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, FYPS offers peer-led support to youth ages 8–24 and their caregivers, with no insurance required. Services focus on empowerment, connection to care, and overcoming barriers. Youth involved with mental health services, ACS, housing or immigration systems, juvenile justice, DOE, or OPWDD may qualify. Those facing physical, economic, or social challenges are also encouraged to connect.

A safe and supportive space for teens ages 14–18 living with mental health challenges. Led by near peers, this weekly virtual group helps participants develop coping skills, build resilience, navigate life transitions, and access resources. Discussions include healthy relationships, self-advocacy, and difficult topics like addiction and suicidal thoughts. Meets Thursdays from 4–5 PM starting January 30.
