Brooklyn Community Board 14 is pleased to announce that Department of Sanitation Commissioner Javier Lojan has approved additional Sanitation collection services in portions of the district to assist residents in preparation for Passover observances, which commence at sundown on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The plan provides for additional collection services.
REFUSE:
- For areas with regular collection on Tuesday/Friday and Wednesday/Saturday, there will be an extra pick up on Thursday, April 10.
- For areas with regular collection on Monday/Thursday, there will be an extra pick up on Friday, April 11.
- All refuse including chometz MUST be placed at curbside no later than 11 AM on Friday, April 11.
RECYCLING:
In these special collection zones, there will also be an additional recycling collection on Friday, April 11 beginning at midnight. All recycling materials must be placed at curbside on the evening of Thursday, April 10 for collection on Friday, April 11 from 12:00 midnight to 8:00 am.
