NYC DOT Art is seeking proposals for artwork to activate the Summer Street routes as a one-day installation throughout all five Summer Street dates. Selected artists may receive up to $20,000 to cover all expenses to design, fabricate, present the artwork including, but not limited to, costs associated with the following: labor, materials, fabrication, engineering, installation, equipment rental, storage, and transportation. Artists may consider an additive format with components created through public participation, allowing the artwork to shift, grow, and evolve throughout each event date and the event series.
