Get ready to level up your networking game at Raise The Bar NYC – where connections are made over cocktails and conversations!

Project Awareness is a collaborative initiative among Brooklyn residents aimed at bridging the gap between young adult residents and civic engagement. This is a launching event series that reimagines traditional town halls by blending them with happy hour elements, creating a more approachable environment for younger adults looking to engage civically for the first time.

This event will focus on:

  • What it means to be civically engaged
  • Education on local elected officials and community influence
  • Rank choice voting explanation and mechanics
  • On-site voter registration

Attend to:

  • Network with other community members from across Brooklyn
  • Share ideas and best practices for community engagement
  • Collaborate on strategies to mobilize younger residents
  • Build cross-district relationships to address borough-wide concerns

Help demystify local politics for a generation that remains largely underrepresented in community decision-making while creating meaningful connections between established civic leaders and engaged residents seeking to make a difference.
