Community Budget Recommendations FY 2025

Each year, in accordance with the New York City Charter, all 59 NYC Community Boards are required to submit recommendations for NYC’s capital and expense budgets for the upcoming fiscal year. Community members are invited to participate in the budget process by suggesting a new city service or capital project. The deadline to submit final recommendations for FY 2025 is Thursday, September 7, 2023

Note, a capital project generally has a value of $35,000 or more and a “useful life” of at least five years. Requests for ongoing programs and regular city services such as street signs, building inspections, parks maintenance, road repair, or tree pruning, for example, should be directed to the Community Board office as a routine service delivery request. However, if the suggested budget item is for a new program, service, or capital project, please provide the information requested in the form.

For a full list of budget requests submitted to the City for this past fiscal year, please see CB14’s Statement of Community District Needs and Community Board Budget Requests for FY2024 below:

Recommendations will be considered at Community Board 14’s public hearing on community budget recommendations for fiscal year 2025, which will take place on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 6:30 PM, in person at 1625 Ocean Avenue, prior to our monthly board meeting. Any meeting updates will be posted here.
