Muslim Youth Career Day

NYPD Police Academy 130-30 28th Avenue, Flushing, NY (entrance on College Point Avenue)

Council of Peoples Organization (COPO), is organizing its annual Youth Career Day, a career fair opened to empowering students of all ages, including those in high school and college, for a successful future.

“Today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders, and it’s our responsibility to empower them with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. At this career fair, we’re not just offering jobs; we’re igniting passions, fueling dreams, and shaping futures. Let’s inspire the next generation and build a brighter tomorrow,
together.” – Mohammad Razvi, CEO of COPO

Over 50 Islamic schools and institutions will participate; along with over several hundred youths from all boroughs of New York City. This event aims to bridge the gap in employment by empowering marginalized identities with education, resources, and tools to ensure a successful future. Additionally, COPO will focus to bridge the gap between Muslim communities and city, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, especially to engage young people to think about their present and future involvement in their communities.

Over 25 federal, state and city government agencies are scheduled to participate. Each agency will provide information of who they are, what they do, and career opportunities. Some of these agencies are: FBI, Secret Service, DHS, ICE, NYPD, Department of Justice, FDNY, and U.S. Coast Guard.
