Storm & Hurricane Preparedness

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) NYC will conduct a presentation on storm and hurricane preparedness. During the presentation, DEP will provide tips to help homeowners protect their homes from flooding and sewer back-ups during rainfall events. The presentation is to help community members understand the level of risk faced during an intense storm.

DEP will also be giving away:

• Rain barrels
• Sump pumps
• Flood barriers
• Flood sensors

The property owners must live in Brooklyn and must attend the presentation on flood preparedness to receive the items (while supplies last)
