The Family Youth and Peer Support (FYPS) Program is a free resource for Brooklyn youth and families facing social, emotional, developmental, substance use, or behavioral challenges. Operated by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, FYPS offers peer-led support to youth ages 8–24 and their caregivers, with no insurance required. Services focus on empowerment, connection to care, and overcoming barriers. Youth involved with mental health services, ACS, housing or immigration systems, juvenile justice, DOE, or OPWDD may qualify. Those facing physical, economic, or social challenges are also encouraged to connect.

Community Food Connection (CFC), formerly known as the Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP), provides funding to more than 500 community kitchens and food pantries citywide. If you need food, you can get help today at one of New York City's food pantries, which provide groceries to cook at home, or community kitchens, which provide hot meals. The Market Nutrition Program provides eligible older New Yorkers coupon booklets, worth $25, which can be redeemed at participating farmers’ markets, farm stands, and mobile markets to buy locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs. The program aims to promote improved nutrition through increased consumption of locally grown fresh produce, and improve sales at participating vendors.
