In July 2026, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and NYC DOT Commissioner Mike Flynn announced Next Stop: Faster Buses for Central Brooklyn, a coordinated effort to improve bus service and reduce travel times along Flatbush Avenue, Church Avenue, and Utica Avenue.
